My niece, Kairi, had her first birthday on the 18th. We celebrated her birthday at a big party the Sunday after we arrived. This picture is her trying out her birthday present from Mommy and Daddy - a big dinosaur that moves and roars that she can ride on. She loved it in the store but was rather unsure of it at her party. Here is Mommy and Daddy trying to convince her she actually likes her rather expensive present.

That's a photographic summary of Joseph's first first Christmas. His second first Christmas will happen next weekend when we head to NY to see my family!!

you know, i have seen those dinosaurs in stores and figured they would totally freak joseph out. he was even a little scared of his elmo live, even though he'd played with it in stores and loved it. eventually he warmed to it.
hope the trip to new york is fun (and less viral).
